Product Strategy and Portfolio Definition
 –
Translated the broad aims and requirements from business stakeholders to define coherent 3 – 5 year product strategies across several market sectors, giving confidence and visibility to senior management and investors and providing a portfolio of products that balanced, markets, timescales, risks and rewards.
 – Rapidly identified associated markets were not being addressed and consequently designed and launched several products (including AWS, Matrix, Duende) for new markets requiring cost sensitive and larger volume design techniques, whilst retaining brand values.

Identifying and Establishing New Technology
 –
Successfully established new processing platform for a product range based on leading edge technology (using latest generation processors and embedded Linux). 
 – The digital processing platform delivered superior performance, reduced development time by half and a reduction of 50% in final manufacturing costs.

Creating New Product Development Processes
 –
Innovatively defined and implemented cross company New Product Introduction process, providing improved design efficiency and visibility for non-technical management, with full design team ‘buy-in’.

Defining Design Development Strategies
 –
Responsible for introducing new design methodologies and processing platforms, including formal project planning and reporting.
 – Instrumental in introducing PowerPC processors, SHARC DSP, New real-time operating system, and programming languages to accelerate development timescales, whilst expanding product ranges, reducing the cost of manufacture and minimising risk of disparate technologies.

Intellectual Property Evaluation and Security
 –
Performed due diligence assessment of Intellectual Property prior to the acquisition of a subsidiary, and subsequently, implemented systems to ensure that all design information was secure and accessible by all design teams within the group.
